Murduck Photo No. 0033 - Non-Commissioned Officers, RAMC, in Exmouth? This is not a postcard. It's a remarkable photograph of Non-Commissioned Officers of the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC). It may have been taken in Exmouth. Certainly the card on which this photo was mounted bears the debossed attribution 'R G MURDUCK / 34 The Strand, Exmouth' as seen below.
The photograph was most likely taken during the Great War. This image was sent to me by Ian Wright of Exmouth, in 2011.
Does anyone recognize the setting, or have knowledge of when and why this photo might have been taken?
